I’m having some insecure feelings about my work. I’m no stranger to it but it’s also something I need to get pasted. Time and time again, my stories have proved to be pretty good. I just don’t understand why my brain disagrees. Anyone else ever feel that way?
So this was an unexpected announcement and blog but I’ll be pushing back Fiction Bites Episode 1 podcast until September 27th.
Why push back the launch date?
I need more time to prefect the story. I’m enjoying what I’m writing but I feel like it needs another round of drafting and maybe sent to a professional to read.
Plus….
I need to voice the character’s myself with out the help of AI
Create a music intro
Create a logo for Fiction Bites
Illustrate a possible image (Which is a bonus item on my list)
Make sure the captions and transcripts of the audio are correct and working
So yeah… another couple of weeks will help get that under wraps. This may mean that I have Christmas and New Years episodes for Season 1 before it ends.
I am also thinking about removing my Medium account so the content I had planned for this week I’ll shift to a Thursday release for this week and give myself some time to decide what platform to launch it on.
What will be released for this weeks podcast?
I will still do a story but this one will be readable and not read by me. Released at the same 10:30PM EST time. I should be able to release one story. I just won’t have a picture to go with it… maybe…
Conclusion
So I ask for your forgiveness as I change plans. I care about quality of content so I get a bit insecure about what I’m working on when I’m about to release it and feel it’s unfinished. Perfection is always a beast in the eyes of a creative. (I should turn that into a quote illustration lol)
New content schedule:
9-11-2024 - Substack Blog: ‘So I watched Beetlejuice Beetlejuice’
9-12-2024 - ‘Why you should establish a routine’ Released on either Substack or Medium
9-13-2024 at 10:30 PM EST - Substack Fiction Bites Readables: “Greet me at the well…”
Thanks for reading and look forward to this short story on Friday!
